Volunteering

The Garneau club could not operate without the generous time donated by it's members and volunteers. We could not maintain our premier facilities without you!

Casino - 2018

This year Garneau Tennis and Beach Volleyball Club was approved to participate in the AGLC Charitable Casino program. Our Club volunteers will staff a selected casino for two full days, and the proceeds will be used for capital improvements to our club. Capital improvements cover a wide variety of things such as court lights, new nets, improvements to the clay or sand, or new lines just to name a few. Beach Volleyball area will receive a major upgrade in 2018/19 thanks to the casino volunteering efforts of our members. Events like this allow us to upgrade our facilities and buy new equipment while keeping our membership fees and league fees affordable.

Show you commitment and support to our club by volunteering in the casino!

As gratitude, each casino volunteer will receive a T-shirt and a free tennis / beach volleyball lesson (with a Club Pro of your choice)

$100 Volunteer Deposit

The Garneau Board has agreed that a $100 deposit would be collected from each tennis member (this excludes drop-in members) and with a volunteer contribution of 4 hours this deposit will be refunded to that member. A schedule of volunteer opportunities will be posted and sign-in sheets will be available such that the volunteer time can be recorded. The Board trusts that this will be understood in the spirit it is intended. To encourage participation of a broad range of our membership in improving the operations and services that the club provides.
